Title | Letter from Alex [Alexander] Larmor, Foyle College, Londonderry, to Joseph [Larmor] |
Creator | Larmor; Alexander (d.1936); Irish mathematician and science educator |
Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
Date | 13 February 1897 |
Description | He encloses a letter from Willie [William Wright Larmor] giving particulars of the engineering work experience he has had, which amounts to little. He has been a book-keeper and general clerk for the past five months and was expected to do this indefinitely. It is difficult to know how to proceed, but a degree would give him more independence. If he could get onto the Mourne scheme, he might read for his professional exams at the same time. |
