Title | Letter from G P [Gerald Ponsonby] Lenox-Conyngham, 69 Grange Road, Cambridge, to [Joseph] Larmor |
Creator | Conyngham; Sir Gerald Ponsonby Lenox- (1866-1956); Irish geodecist |
Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
Date | 19 October 1930 |
Description | [Horace] Lamb has suggested a preliminary meeting before the interview with the Finance Committee. Lenox-Conyngham told him of Larmor's reluctance to take part in the interview, and Lamb thought that he might join in the preliminary discussion. Newall agrees that they would like the benefit of Larmor's views. Gradual development is wanted rather than grandiose expansion. |
