Title | Letter from O J [Oliver Joseph] Lodge, the Athenaeum, Pall Mall, to [Joseph] Larmor |
Creator | Lodge; Sir Oliver Joseph (1851-1940); British physicist |
Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
Date | 16 September 1917 |
Description | He thinks that Larmor ought to rest. Larmor's last result must be right, Lodge thinks, but not the coefficients. He thinks that Larmor should leave it until he has seen what [Arthur] Eddington has to say in the Philosophical Magazine for September and October. Earth and Venus make the difficulty. Eddington's work is neat and looks right. |
