TitleLetter from H A [Hendrik Antoon] Lorentz, Haarlem, to [Joseph] Larmor
CreatorLorentz; Hendrik Antoon (1853-1938); Dutch theroetical physicist
RecipientLarmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist
Date19 January 1923
DescriptionHe thanks Larmor for the trouble he has taken in writing about Lorentz in 'Nature' and for the kind spirit of praise. It is a pleasure to see that his work has been reviewed by a physicist who had an important share in it, and who is thorougly conversant in modern developments. He thinks Larmor was right to say that in publishing his papers in book from, Lorentz should have left them unaltered. If he had, all might have been published before the war, but now he is doubtful whether if will be resumed.
