| Description | Lamb does not know the proper proceeding for a DSc., saying he 'shall certainly evade any direct share in it'. He asks if Larmor thinks it would be admissable to leave the matter to external examiners, but suggests Forsyth and Henrici as part of a possible variant tribunal, the candidate having been dissatisfied with the previous one. He gathers that the candidate might decline to be examined. He has not looked into the thesis carefully as yet but thinks it constitutes a prima face case in asking the university to appoint examiners. If Larmor agrees, he should draw up a report for Lamb to sign. |
