Title | Letter from H F [Hugh Frank] Newall, Madingley Rise, Cambridge, to [Joseph] Larmor |
Creator | Newall; Hugh Frank (1857-1944) British astrophysicist and educational benefactor |
Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
Date | 17 March 1930 |
Description | He invites Larmor to stay with him when attending the gathering on 11 March. He expected to see Larmor that term, as College told him that Larmor was to carry off his books. He hopes Larmor has not done that yet. Many feel that he has been allowed to slip away without a mark of appreciation for all of his work. No-one knows better than Larmor how many young lives he has started on their way. |
