Title | Letter from John F P [Frederick Peel] Rawlinson, 5 Crown Office Row, Temple, to [Joseph] Larmor |
Creator | Rawlinson; John Frederick Peel (1860-1926); British barrister and politician |
Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
Date | 10 January 1918 |
Description | Rawlinson has been at the House of Lords all week. The amendment to include Newnham and Girton will come on Monday, and Lord Plymouth will oppose it on their behalf. He asks Larmor to 'beat up' others and wonders what Lord Rayleigh thinks of the other amendment, giving their voters two votes instead of one, which Rawlinson considers 'vital'. He asks if Larmor or Scott could approach Lord Courtney. |
