| Title | Letter from E [Ernest] Rutherford, 17 Wilmslow Road, Withington, Manchester, to [Joseph] Larmor |
| Creator | Rutherford; Ernest; Baron Rutherford of Nelson (1871-1937); New Zealand physicist |
| Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Date | 22 April 1919 |
| Description | Their chat at the Bull on Fellowship was followed by a visit from J.J.T. [Joseph John Thomson] who informed him that Trinity would probably offer him a Fellowship. His friends have advised him that unless he wished to make trouble, he should accept it and he thinks that no other course is open to him. He asks Larmor to let St. John's know how much he appreciated their offer and he will not forget them in the future. |
