Description	Glazebrook is always glad to hear Schuster's views and hopes to talk with him. He notes a 25% reduction in the size of a building, discussing the National Physical Laboratory layout and Perry's pressing for further reductions. Schuster has urged that cost should be the main consideration. They are not regarded with friendly eyes by the Treasury, who have made several visits and conducted interviews. He worries that they will lose the site altogether. There have been questions asked in Parliament and on a visit to the Office of Works he was told that the scheme should be 'knocked on the head'. Glazebrook notes the points arising, that the building may be too small to be of use, and may not lend itself to extension. He describes his scheme, listing possible work to be done within the building and the amount of space dedicated to each. He thinks that Schuster may consider they should drop some areas of work, to house others better. He considers other options, noting the need to show plan to the House of Commons 'a mere shed will be objected to' while the Treasury wish to keep it as small as possible.
