Chapter 1. "Inauguration of the Standards Department", pp.6-34. Chapter 2. "Staff and premises, Old Palace Yard", pp.35-40. Chapter 3. "The Jewell Tower and its romantic history", pp.41-57. Chapter 4. "The Pyx Chamber and the trial of the Pyx", pp.58-70. Chapters 5-8 are omitted [but see MS/666/4] as are the succeeding chapters noted in the table of contents. There are two copies of an epilogue, pp.213-220.
