The puzzling green felsite from East Anglia is probbaly found at Enghien, but he has forgotten to bring a sample - he has written to George Sweeting to find a piece to send. He gives a summary of the Belgian Quaternary and is off tomorrow to spend three days around Mons to get an idea of the loess - Haht tells him it is like the Somme and has promised to show him high level gravels. All Belgian geologists take it for granted that the present river system synclinal one. He wonders if Wooldridge knows about it. Dubois has lost his umbrella habit and his beard is less luxuriant. He asks if Boswell has seen 'Rutot's stuff' which is awful - 'Neolithic rough-outs masquerading as Chillian'. There is some genuine material but he wouldn't like to sort it out.
