TitleCopy letter, Edward James Wayland, Kasiriye, to T.P. O'Brien
Date2 October 1935
DescriptionHe has mislaid O'Brien's letter of 20 September but will find it when he repacks. He is reminded of the arrangement for O'Brien to study Wayland's collection of stone age artefacts, but he has never forgotten this - O'Brien has excused himself from performing this service. Wayland must clear out the material to Cambridge, Oxford and Johannesburg. He has no objection to Paris receiving some, after those institutions have had first consideration. It would take a month's continuous work to go over the material. He will likely discard 1,000 items gathered during his first 900 mile walk in the Protectorate but even so, thousands of items will remain.
