Description | He was under the impression that there had only been one edition of Gregory's 'Rift valleys'; the copy he had in Kenya was dated 1921. He agrees the the British Museum petrologist should tackle the specimens. Boswell received the case of specimens he had collected last week, and has had the solid material sliced. They are available for study but he has given them to the College in Professor Brammall's charge. He has sands and tuffs which the British Museum might examine. He has heard that Leakey is back in South Kensington but is having problems finding a home. The proposal for a court of enquiry, which Boswell thought he had squashed, has now been revived by archaeologists and Boswell has objected to that course of action. If Kent has any information to help in dating the beds, Boswell would like to hear and they should talk if Kent gets to London. |
