TitleLetter, Henry Hallett Dale, Secretary, the Royal Society, Burlington House, to Percy George Hamnall Boswell
Date4 November 1935
DescriptionOn 31 October, Council of the Royal Society discussed the question of whether they should appoint a committee, or appoint a representative to a committee created by another body, with regard to Leakey's claims and Boswell's findings on them. Council decided it should adhere to the principle never to give a corporate opinion with regard to scientific matters of controversy or interest. They will not constitute a committee, but the matter is one for open discussion, either in a public scientific meeting or through the scientific press.
