Description | He understands from Dr. Harrison that the Geological Society is being asked to nominate representatives to a committee of enquiry into Leakey's claims regarding early man in Kanam and Kanjera. Boswell has declined to serve on such a committee and he has urged that Leakey should have the opportunity to use the scientific press or that the Royal Anthropological Institute should offer him an evening meeting to state his case. The Royal Society has declined to nominate representatives. Boswell was invited by the Society to express his findings at an ordinary meeting, but deferred until Leakey was back in England. |
