Description | Hatchett was happy to learn that Hudson's health is restored and he would like to take on more active duties. He assesses Hudson's work at the Royal Society, 'I was able to appreciate the ability, assiduity, punctuality and devoted attention with which almost without relaxation you performed the duties of that office and I thus formed a high opinion of your merits'. He would rejoice should Hudson be elected to the office of Secretary to the new University of London. |
