Description | He ought to have acknowledged Hatchett's kind letter, delaying so that he might see Lord Brougham for his remarks. He thanks Hatchett for communicating Mr [James] Hudson's letter, which leaves the evidence of date of the theory exactly where it was. Mr Brand [William Thomas Brande?] has offered to examine the records of the Royal Society for 1783 and 1784, to inform him of who was on Council, and to discover any minute of the reception and redelivery of his father's paper, in April to June 1783. |
