| Description | Thanks Boys for the fibres which arrived yesterday. He set work seeing the beautiful colours they produce in sunlight. He anticipates that their behaviour in the galvanometer will be a success. Snow has made a little crossbow and has succeeded in producing fibre, but without the uniformity of Boys's specimens. He thanks Boys for suggesting an improvement in galvanometer design and he will attempt to make a new needle at once. Snow describes his present arrangement and his success in making light galvanometer mirrors. |
