DescriptionHis vote and interest have for some time been promised to the Duke of Somerset. He told this yesterday to Sir Humphry Davy, who has asked for Englefield's support. Kater's letter was the first he had heard of Dr. [William Hyde] Wollaston standing [for the Presidency of the Royal Society] and no-one has a higher opinion of his talents than Englefield. He excuses his bad eyesight and sends compliments to Mrs Kater.
