OtherInfo | Willughby enjoyed a lucrative practive in Dublin and was also particularly active in the Dublin Philosophical Society, where he presented numerous papers, and was on the Society's committee to draw up rules in 1684. He also wrote on the Dublin Bills of Mortality in 1691, which was related to the topic of 'political arithmetic', something John Graunt (FRS 1663) and William Petty (FRS 1660) were particularly interested in. He was inactive in the Royal Society and only paid his admission fee after his election. |
