Title | Copy letter from Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt], to Professor Walter Noel Hartley, Euston Hotel, London, W.C. |
Date | 30 May 1895 |
Description | On the recommendation of the Government Grant Committee, the President and Council have decided with reference to Hartley's application for investigations of flame spectra at high temperature, that it be postponed, it being understood that Hartley is not at present likely to be able to carry out the research.
If Hartley wishes for the application to be considered again next year it will be necessary for him to revise it. |
