Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Lord Kelvin [William Thomson], Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 15 July 1895 |
Description | At the last Committee of Papers the name 'Mallock' was out down on the agenda referring to an anticipated paper, the referees for which would be Sir G G Stokes and Professor [Horace] Lamb. Two or three days ago a manuscript arrived from an unknown person entitled 'Government Grant Report on Experiments on Fluid Viscosity by A Mallock'.
Asks if this is the paper in question or whether it is an ordinary report to be reserved for next year's Government Grant meetings. If it is the paper in question Rix asks who communicated it and when it as received. Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt] has referred Rix to Kelvin. |
