| Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Arthur William Rucker, Fellow of the Royal Society |
| Date | 8 November 1895 |
| Description | Mr White has laid Rucker's query before Rix and he sends a line to say that the Society always order the exact number of plates required, which is in this case 1025. By a custom of the trade, lithographers always supply some half-dozen copies gratis, which are called 'overs', and are meant to meet possible defects. If Cassells intend to charge for these, Rix think they are a 'very close firm'. |
