Description'Sir,
In answer to yours of yesterday, I have the pleasure to inform you that His Excellency the German Ambassador has intimated his intention of attending our Anniversary Meeting on the 30th inst. [instant] in order to receive the Copley Medal on Prof. [Professor] Weierstrass's behalf. The Medal will, therefore, be entrusted to the German Embassy, who will forward it in due course to the Professor.
