Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, [Royal Society] |
Date | 27 January 1896 |
Description | Updates on matters of Royal Society business.
Rix explains that there is a letter from Professor McKendrick to Foster concerning unauthorised use of his name in an advertisement for Liebig. As he wishes it to be read to Council, Rix has retained it.
He is sending two letters to Foster from Sir John Kirk concerning [George Francis] Scott-Elliot, but has retained the letters to which they refer.
Foster did give Rix a letter from Mr Sedgwick, and it will be shown to Professor Thomas George Bonney this afternoon, and then forwarded to Foster.
A postscript refers to the fact that they cannot tell them anything at the Academy about the general arguments, but hope to be able to at 6 o'clock, at which point Rix will telegraph Foster with any relevant information. |
