Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Right Honorable Sir Richard Temple, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 18 March 1896 |
Description | As Rix has not yet been able to get Temple's election letter signed, he sends this private message to inform him that he has been elected a Fellow at the last meeting, and so will need to present himself for the ceremony of admission at the meeting tomorrow afternoon at 4.30pm. He also informs him that admission costs 10 pounds, with an annual subscription of four pounds or a Life Composition of 70 pounds to be paid prior to admission.
Rix states that he would be welcome to attend a different meeting day if more convenient to him, and notes that these will occur on 23 April, 30 April and 7 May. The formal letter regarding his election should be sent tomorrow morning. |
