Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Charles Scott Sherrington, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 23 May 1896 |
Description | Harrison notes that the enclosed paper by Messrs Francis Gotch and George James Burch 'On the Electromotive Properties of Malapterurus electricus', has been accepted and an abstract ordered for reading and publication in 'Proceedings of the Royal Society'.
He has been directed by the Chairman of the Sectional Committee for Physiology to ask Sherrington to provide his written opinion on the full paper, considering: if it should be published in 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'; whether it should be published in full or in part, and if the latter, he asks that the relevant sections be indicated; whether any changes are necessary or desirable, and of what type they are; which illustrations should be reproduced.
Harrison states that the Committee would be helped if the report could be submitted by 28 May. If this is not possible, he asks that Sherrington inform them of this. He will send the illustrations in a few days time as he is currently getting estimates for them. |
