| Description | Rucker apologises for further delays caused by his suffering from a 'feverish cold'. He has now spoken to Mr Perry of the Direct Photo Company, and has discovered that the touching up of which he complained has been cleaned off, and that films from both the plates, numbered I and II, were selected and the 1000 of which have been struck off, include some from I and some from II.
He notes some misunderstanding, and outlines option (A), that Sherrington mark in red the parts on I or II with which he is satisfied, with those not marked to be reproduced from the negatives, and option (B), that all of series VI be reproduced again from the negatives. If the latter, proofs will be submitted to him and he must make a choice from among the old and new reproductions, marking the best selection. He makes this offer on the assumption that the negatives used have not been destroyed on the belief that the job was completed. If they have been disposed of, a choice will be made between the pulls already taken and a new plate from new negatives.
Rucker hopes the suggestion made is satisfactory, but states that it needs to be understood that only one more attempt can be made, which must be accepted by all concerned. |
