Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Oliver Joseph Lodge, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 30 June 1897 |
Description | With further reference to Lodge's letter of the 20th, Harrison has made further enquiries and finds that if Dr Muirhead did not receive an invitation to the last Soiree it was purely accidental. His name is not on the authorised list of guests for the June Soiree though it is for the May Soiree. Muirhead would as a matter of course receive an invitation as an exhibitor and if he did not the only excuse Harrison can offer is that his exhibit was proposed very late, when all the other invitations had been dispatched. Muirhead was at the Society more than once during those days and could have mentioned the matter and the omission could have been made good at once. |
