Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor William Ramsay, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 19 November 1897 |
Description | The Secretaries have asked Harrison to write Ramsay a line with reference to his paper on refractivities of gases received yesterday, which is about to be printed in the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]'. Asks if Ramsay has any objection to softening the last sentence of the first paragraph which states 'physicists are not in the habit of devoting much care to the chemical purity of their materials'. Suggests an alternative phrase. |
