Title | Copy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Lord Kelvin [William Thomson], Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 31 January 1898 |
Description | Had just written the enclosed letter [NLB/16/97] when Rucker received Kelvin's letter.
Kelvin's appeal shall be laid before the Council which meets on the 17 [February]. As Kelvin refers to a number of points in the paper, Rucker requests that the original is returned as soon as possible.
Requests that Mr Murray returns the paper without delay. If Murray asks for more time, Rucker must either tell him what has occurred or merely state that, for reasons which cannot be given, the paper must be returned which Murray would likely regard as harsh. |
