DescriptionA letter has been received from the Admiralty stating that they will provide Fowler, and a second observer, the facilities to enable them to make collections of the Plankton of the Faeroe Channel [details of exact location provided] in the summer of 1900 and will allow them to emabrk on H.M.S. "Research". Any special gear or fittings must be provided by Fowler. Also authorized to place Fowler in communication with the Hydrographer in order that the details may be arranged.
