Description | With reference to Rucker's letter of 13 March and with further reference to the request therein made on behalf of the President and Council that Her Majesty's Government assist the forthcoming expedition to observe the solar eclipse in Spain by procuring the privileges for the observers at the sites of observation and elsewhere. The work of the observers at Alicante will be facilitated if Her Majesty's Government will give special instructions to Her Majesty's Vice consul at that port to afford every assistance in his power to the party. Asks the Secretary to further the objects of the expedition by giving such instructions as he may think proper. |
