Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor John Cunningham McLennan, Toronto, [Fellow of the Royal Society] |
Date | 1 June 1900 |
Description | In reply to McLennan's letter of 19 May, Harrison is doing all he can to meet his wishes. Discusses a point regarding transmission of [unnamed] papers which Harrison thinks is ambiguous. Harrison has ordered 100 advanced copies to be made up and sent to McLennan as quickly as possible. In view of the impossibility of getting copies of the paper out to McLennan early, Harrison stated in his letter of 2 May, that McLennan was at liberty to have copies privately printed.
Regarding obtaining extra copies and how quickly these can be obtained, Harrison will enquire of the printer. These would be independent of the advanced copies mentioned above.
Proofs of the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' abstract were sent to Professor J J Thomson in January, but were never returned and a reminder has been sent to Thomson. Once returned they will publish this promptly and send McLennan 100 gratis copies. |
