| Description | In accordance with the custom of the Royal Society, Lasker's paper 'Uber Reihen auf der Convergenzgrenze ' has been referred to a Committee of mathematicians and they have recommended the paper be published in the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]', provided that the portion of the introduction which refers to an award by a jury of the French Academy of Sciences and is of a 'controversial' character be omitted. On hearing that Lasker accepts this condition the paper will be published.
The Committee also wish Lasker to consider the remarks of some referees, acceptance of these suggestions is not a condition of publication. |
