| Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir Michael Foster, Fellow of the Royal Society |
| Date | 21 December 1901 |
| Description | Received Foster's telegram of the previous day. Received the enclosed note from the President [William Huggins, not enclosed].
This morning Harrison received the enclosed acknowledgement from Mr Ritchie [not enclosed] and a letter marked 'immediate' from Sir Edward Maunde Thompson, of which he encloses a copy [not enclosed]. There seems some doubt whether the new Institution being self-constituted, is sufficiently established to be recognized by the International Association until it has a more formal organization than appears in Thompson's letter. Awaits Foster's instructions in the matter.
Also encloses a letter from Herdman with Harrison's note upon it [not enclosed]. |
