TitleCopy letter from Sir Michael Foster, to Sir George Newnes
Date1 March 1901
DescriptionFoster is happy to inform Newnes that [Carsten Egeberg] Borchgrevink's magnetic and meteorological observations of the British Antarctic Expedition have been accepted for publication in 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]', with the Royal Society bearing the cost of publication. However some expenditure is needed towards the preparation of publication, estimated to around £100. Borchgrevink suggests Newnes would be willing to undertake this small charge.
