Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor John Gray McKendrick, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 19 February 1904 |
Description | Harrison explains that the names which McKendrick believes were omitted from the printed copy of the Certificate of Candidature of Professor Hamilton of Aberdeen, were in fact deliberately left off as they were deemed, by a meeting of the Officers of the Royal Society, inadmissable by virtue of their being on a separate piece of paper attached to the certificate. He had no option but to omit them from the printed copy as he lacks the power to go against the ruling. |
