TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor [William Abbott] Herdman, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date28 September 1906
DescriptionOn returning from holiday Harrison found a number of documents connected with the Ceylon Report, including the catalogue of species of the molluscan shells. These items are sent herewith [not enclosed].

Concerning the blocks to illustrate Herdman's discussion of the oyster's enemies, Harrison does not see how he can do otherwise than act on Herdman's opinion that the Northern Art Company will do best what he wants. Is therefore sending instructions to the Society's printers to have the blocks sent there. Explains why he is somewhat in the dark regarding the publication of the reports. Judging from the recent tenor of correspondence between the Treasurer [Alfred Bray Kempe] and Herdman, Harrison concludes part V of the report is to be completed and he has therefore put it forward rather than risk delay. Shall be able to find out how matters stand when the Treasurer returns.
