Geikie will see from the enclosed letter from Dr Mott [not enclosed] that he does not like the idea of reducing the size of his Sleeping Sickness report, and what Mott says about the Committee having decided upon it is quite true. Asks if they are justified in the face of this in taking steps with out the Committee to alter it.
Sir Lauder Brunton's only response to Gekie's note yesterday is the enclosed [not enclosed], sending a cheque for £1. Brunton does not answer the question which Harrison supposed Geikie asked, that is whether the Society should officially take acknowledgement of the Congress of Hygiene. |
