Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Charles Scott Sherrington, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 17 May 1907 |
Description | Sir Archibald Geikie has handed Sherrington's letter about the International Association to him for a response. Harrison has enquired with several delegates and has found no consensus about which hotels to stay at, with George Darwin having booked rooms at the Hotel de France, and Professor Schuster at the Hotel Palais d'Orsay, Paris. The Royal Society has not officially responded to the invitation of the Imperial Academy, Vienna, beyond sending a list of delegates, but if Sherrington refers to the opening reception, it will be a matter for individual delegates to respond to.
The delegates expected to attend are, Sir George Darwin, Sir Norman Lockyer, Colonel David Prain, Professor Arthur Schuster, Sherrington himself, Dr William Napier Shaw, Professor William Turner and Dr Augustus Desire Waller. |
