DescriptionIn addition to the annual favour of striking the medals to be presented at the Anniversary meetings, the President and Council of the Royal Society venture to ask the additional favour that copies in bronze of certain of the medals be struck. The medals are; a bronze copy of the Davy Medal for Bruce Jay, the designer of the medal, the place usually filled by the medallist to be left blank; and bronze copies of the Copley and Royal Medals for preservation in the Society's own collection.
