Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr H [Hans Friedrich] Gadow FRS |
Date | 7 March 1909 |
Description | 'Dear Dr Gadow, I was much obliged by your letter of March 1 on the subject of the Mexican Institute. With regard to the mineral specimens that were sent here, while you were in Mexico, by Mr Niven, with your encouragement, I can only say that they were duly received and were handed over to Sir William Crookes for examination. He took them away to his laboratory and from that day to this I have heard nothing more of them. My impression is that this information was given some little time ago either to you or to someone else enquiring on the subject. May I suggest that you should write direct to Sir William Crookes about these specimens? He is now Foreign Secretary and has official responsibility.' |
