Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr W [William] N [Napier] Shaw FRS |
Date | 28 September 1911 |
Description | Harrison has now had the opportunity of consulting the Treasurer about Shaw's letter. He agrees that, the grant by the Council of the Royal Society having been made to the Gassiot Committee "for the purposes of Eskdalemuir with especial reference to seismology", it should be treated in the same way as the Gassiot's own fund, and paid over the the Meteorology Committee to administer the payment of Mr Southern's salary. Harrison discusses the details of specific payments and expenses cheques. Harrison has received a claim by the Office of Works for £61.14.4 in respect of work done at Eskdalemuir and Harrison asks Shaw to examine it and let him know who it is chargeable to. |
