| Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Edward Alfred Minchin, Fellow of the Royal Society |
| Date | 12 November 1912 |
| Description | Asks for his opinion on the enclosed specimens of reproduction of the drawings of trypanosomes for Miss [Muriel] Robertson's paper. It has been suggested that a direct photographic process might give a sufficiently good result at less than half the cost of lithography, so Harrison has had these two figures done as a specimen. Also sending the originals [no enclosures]. Would like to know whether in Minchin's opinion the reproductions show all that the drawings are meant to convey.
If not, there is a cheaper collotype process, but it is uncertain whether it would give much better results for this class of work that the half tone blocks. |
