| Description | 'Your letter dated November 28th has this morning reached me together with a box from Messrs Annan of Glasgow containing the five photogravures to which you refer. The Challenger Committee of the Royal Society, does not meet, all its duty now consisting of reporting on applications for the Challenger publications and this is done by correspondence. There, also, a "Challenger Society", as you, of course, know, but it has no connection.
One hte part of the Royal Society I accept with thanks the interesting gift you have sent. We shall find a place for the five frames on the walls of one of the Committee rooms.' |
