| Description | 'The Council of the Royal Society have had before them a letter from the Royal Society of Edinburgh requesting them to nominate representatives on a Committee which it is proposed to convene for the purpose of arranging for the celebration next year of the Tercentenary of John Napier of Merchiston.
I am directed to inform you that the PResident and Council have nominated yourself and Major Percy MaMahon to represent the Royal Society on this Committee, and I am to express the hope that you will be willing to serve.' |
