Description | 'I am directed by the President of the Royal Society to say that he is desirous that the Society should be represented at the Memorial Service for the last members of the Antarctic Expedition to be held at St Paul's on Friday. The President himself, Sir Archibald Geikie, hopes to attend and will be accompanied by other Officers of the Society and some representative Fellows. I am therefore to ask if you will be so kind as to arrange for seats to be reserved for the Royal Society Representatives, and to send any necessary cards to me at this address.' |
