| Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir Francis Darwin, Fellow of the Royal Society, Chairman of the Botany Committee |
| Date | 6 June 1913 |
| Description | As the communicator of the paper by Professor W B Bottomley on the 'Formation of humus from organic substances', Professor J R Green, was anxious to have an early decision on it. It was sent to Horace [Tabberer] Brown, who reports that it is not suitable for communication to the Royal Society as the work is of a sketchy and preliminary nature. The Biological Secretary suggests that the communicator should be asked to withdraw the paper, if the Chairman concurs. |
