TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Wyckoff, Seamans & Benedict, 100 Gracechurch Street
Date22 January 1892
DescriptionRix explains that he overlooked the intimation on the enclosed bill that they only allow ten days credit for the 5% discount, and so he has deducted the one pound and six pence to which they should have been entitled. However, as the Royal Society are only one month from the date the machine was sent on approval, he has ventured to claim a part of the discount, nine shillings and six pence, which he believes they will be good enough to allow.

Rix encloses a cheque for £22 and will be glad to have a receipt for it.
